About NEICON

NEICON aims to provide Russian organizations with expert, consulting and service support in the field of information for research and education and a full range of services related to access, development, dissemination and storage of scholarly information in electronic form.

Along with its main activities, NEICON has implemented dozens of the state-funded and own volunteer projects.

NEICON runs ongoing programs to support lifelong learning and the formation of professional competencies.

NEICON supports the Open Access initiative and contributes to the development of Open Science infrastructure in Russia by creating a Russian network of open access repositories.

NEICON international activities

From 2000 to 2015, NEICON represented Russia in the project of consortia of developing countries EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries). Currently, NEICON is a member of the International Coalition of Library Consortia (ICOLC) and the Confederation of Open Access Repositories, COAR, is the founder of the Association of Scientific Editors and Publishers, a member of the Association of creators and users of educational electronic resources, ACUEER. Since 2018, NEICON has been an official member of the Open Access 2020 international alliance (OA2020) https://oa2020.org/mission/

NEICON Expert activity. NEICON employees have been members of advisory boards of the world leading publishers and information providers: Elsevier, Project COUNTER, EBSCO Information Services, Cambridge University Press, Association for Computing Machinery.
